On September 6-7, 2021, the Khorezm Mamun Academy, the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Academy of Sciences, together with the Beruni Avlodlari Public Foundation, held a scientific conference dedicated to the 1048th anniversary of the great scientist Abu Raikhan Beruni.

The conference was attended by scientists from the Khorezm Academy of Mamun, professors and students of Urgench State University, scientists from the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, the International Research Center of Imam Bukhari, the public foundation "Beruniy Avlodlari", the administration of the Beruniy region and students.

The conference was opened by the Chairman of the Khorezm Mamun Academy, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor Ikram Abdullayev and Vice-Rector for Youth Affairs, Spiritual and Educational Issues of Urgench State University, Doctor of Historical Sciences Sanzhar Davletov and they emphasized the practical importance of the work of this seminar in teaching students, young researchers the scientific direction and in shaping them as scientists.

At the time when our country entered a new stage of development, it is determined to lay the foundations of the Third Renaissance. In the new Uzbekistan, one of the priorities has become a deep study of the invaluable heritage of our great scientists and its dissemination among the general public. Because in the modern world, where the need for competitive personnel is growing, the role of science is invaluable.

Scientists and leading specialists of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, the International Research Center of Imam Bukhari, Urgench State University, a number of higher educational institutions and research institutes of the republic made scientific reports at the conference.

The second day of the conference continued in the conference hall of the Khorezm regional branch of the Republican Center for Spirituality and Education. About 40 scientific reports were presented at the two-day scientific seminar. The parties exchanged views on the scientific heritage of the great scientist and new scientific research related to the way of life. This scientific seminar aroused great interest among the general public.

The conference was organized by the head of the department of social and humanitarian sciences of the Khorezm Mamun Academy, candidate of historical sciences, associate professor Yulduz Rakhmanova in cooperation with a leading researcher at the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, Doctor of Philosophy, Professor Bakhtiyor Karimov.
