In 2012, February 2 Cabinet of ministers adopted a resolution number #27 ' About  prevention damage of termites and intensifying' To strengthen prevention damage of termites to local residences, cultural and ancient monuments. Accordingly the official communication #284a of Cabinet of Ministery, in December 10, 2012, the order#5-158,adopted by the president of Science Academy in Uzbekistan, in December 10, 2012, laboratory was organized named 'Prevention the spread of termites and intensifying'.

 The main goal of the laboratory analysing increase and decrease of termites basing on the information spread extent of termites in Mevaston, Yangi turmush, Ichan-Kala historical monuments and the residences of Yangiobod neighborhood, public places in Khiva, as well as to explore their way of life , to work out new methods in order to eliminate.

There was held monitoring on the damage of ancient monuments of Ichan Kala, based on the taken information the elactronic map(chart) of damage was drawn.
