Researchers of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Sciences of the Khorezm Academy Ma'mun, Doctor of Philosophy in Historical Sciences (PhD) Sh.Matyakubov and Doctor of Philosophy in Historical Sciences (PhD) F.Zhumaniyazova co-authored the book ‘Events in the Khanate of Khiva’ (Part I). It tells about historical events of XVII - XIX centuries and the beginning of XX century on the territory of Khiva khanate, covered by Khiva khan Abulgazi Bahadirkhan, his descendants and outstanding figures of Khorezm historiography, who created in those times, poet, historian and translator Shermuhammad Munis, his contemporary and close relative Muhammad Riza Agahi, unique historical works by historian and translator Muhammad Yusuf Bayoni, covering the history of the Khiva Khanate and khans, as well as through articles published by the authors in domestic and foreign editions.

The book is intended for students of higher educational institutions, doctoral students, researchers and schoolchildren, as well as for the general public interested in the history of Khiva.
