The monograph entitled ‘The History of Handicrafts of the Khiva Khanate in the First Half of the XVI-XVIII Centuries’ was published by Sh. Matyakubov, a researcher of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Sciences of the Khorezm Academy of Ma'mun, Doctor of Philosophy in Historical Sciences (PhD). This monograph contains information about craftsmanship of the Khiva Khanate in written sources, the importance of the results of archaeological and ethnological research in studying the history of craftsmanship of the Khiva Khanate, coverage of craftsmanship issues in historical studies, types and products of craftsmanship, pottery, woodworking and related crafts, metallurgy: making household items, horse equipment and weapons, socio-political and ethno-cultural processes in the Khiva Khanate, as well as the social and cultural processes in the Khiva Khanate.
