A monograph entitled “The Representatives of Jadidism of Khorezm: life, work, and literary heritage” was published in the publishing house “Milleniumus print” in Urganch under the co-authorship of the senior researcher of Khorezm Mamun Academy, doctor of philosophy in historical sciences (PhD) Umid Bekmuhammed and candidate of philology, associate professor Sayyora Samandar.

In the monograph, the Jadidist movement in Khorezm, its specific features and aspects different from the Jadidist movement in Turkestan and Bukhara are analyzed based on articles on the oasis in “Tarjiman” newspaper, archival documents, and memoirs of Palvanniyaz haji Yusupov and Babaakhun Salimov. Also, the life and activities of Khorezm jadidist figures such as Islamkhoja, Husainbek Matmurodov, Palvanniyaz haji Yusupov and Babaakhun Salimov, Khudaibergan Divanov, Otamakhum akhun Muhammadrahimov, Nazir Shalikarov, Bekjan Rahman were studied based on the processes of that period.

In addition, the monograph analyzes the literary heritage of jadidist poets from Khorezm such as Avaz Utar, Naziriy, Babaakhun Salimov, Muhammadsharif Sufizada, Hamza Hakimzada, who worked in jadidist schools in the oasis, based on the ideas of jadidism in their works, and examples of their works are given.

The monograph is intended not only for bachelors and masters of higher educational institutions, doctoral students, and researchers but also for the general public interested in history and literature.
