Senior Research Fellow at the Khorezm Academy Mamun, Doctor of Philosophy in History, Umid Bekmuhammad, and Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor Sayora Samandar, have published a new work entitled ‘The Founder of Printing and the Jadid Enlightener’. This book, published by the Bukhara publishing house Durdona, analyses the Jadid movement in Khorezm, its unique features and differences from the Jadid movement in Turkestan and Bukhara. It also highlights the life and work of Otazhon Abdolov, the founder of printing in Khorezm, his participation in the Jadid movement, and his contribution to the publication of textbooks and teaching aids for Jadid schools.

In addition, the article analyses Otazhon Abdolov's selfless work in the field of publishing newspapers, magazines and books during the period of the Khorezm People's Soviet Republic and the district, as well as his contribution to the development of book printing in Karakalpakstan together with his students.
