Chemists from the Laboratory of Physicochemical Research at the Khorezm Ma’mun Academy synthesized a new metal complex compound exhibiting antibacterial and antifungal activity. The compound was synthesized in solution through the reaction of copper(II) acetate with imidazole formed by the hydrolysis of N,N′-carbonyldiimidazole (CDI) in an aqueous medium. Single crystals of the resulting complex compound were grown and structurally analyzed using a SMARTLAB SE X-RAY DIFFRACTOMETER manufactured by Rigaku. The crystallographic parameters of this complex compound were deposited for the first time with the Cambridge Crystallographic Data Centre (CCDC), providing open access to the corresponding crystallographic data (Deposition Number: 2561750).
