On August 13, 2026, the Khorezm Mamun Academy and Renmin University of the People’s Republic of China signed a Memorandum of Understanding on bilateral cooperation.
The Memorandum aims to further develop scientific cooperation between the two institutions, conduct joint research on archaeological sites in the Khorezm oasis, study and restore archaeological materials, publish research findings in international academic journals, and promote cooperation in engaging talented young specialists in scientific research and enhancing their professional skills.
This cooperation is of significant importance for the comprehensive study of the rich archaeological and historical-cultural heritage of the Khorezm oasis, the introduction of modern scientific methods into archaeological research, and the strengthening of academic ties between scholars of Uzbekistan and China.
